That’s why we are proud to continue our support for The Village Centre, a community charity at the heart of Englefield Green, Surrey.
At the heart of the local community
The Village Centre provides a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all ages can connect, access support and feel part of their community.
Alongside a wide range of activities and charitable services — including Baby Basics, cooking classes, a community fridge and community kitchen — its café has become the heartbeat of the Centre.
More than simply somewhere to enjoy a coffee or freshly prepared lunch, the café provides a warm and friendly environment where everyone is welcome. Whether someone arrives with their family, comes in alone for some company, meets friends or simply needs a place to spend some time, the team works hard to make people feel at home.
It is this sense of genuine connection that makes The Village Centre so special.
The power of a warm welcome
At CAP, creating a sense of care and belonging for people away from home is something we understand.
When we look at the work of The Village Centre, we see some of those same values reflected in a very different setting: people taking the time to know one another, offering practical support when it is needed and ensuring everyone who walks through the door receives a warm welcome.
Led by Lilly, the café team brings an extraordinary level of warmth, authenticity and genuine care to the local community. Their approach has created a space where conversations happen, friendships are formed and people can feel connected.
Those qualities strongly resonate with our CAP culture and are why we have chosen to continue our support following our previous donation in 2024.
