CAP recognition & awards
EcoVadis
Gold Medal
CAP Worldwide is proud to have been assessed in the top 1% globally and awarded the prestigious Gold Medal from EcoVadis, the world's most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.
This recognition places CAP among the top 1% of companies in the travel sector, and the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis globally. A true achievement for our young company.
EcoVadis evaluates companies on four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Jo Layton, CAP CEO says 'We are truly delighted to receive this incredible recognition of our ongoing commitment to creating the healthiest and most inclusive culture and company for our global teams, our clients, and our valued brand partners to thrive in.
She continues 'Our goal has always been to create a successful best in class tip of the spear business that embraces the full meaning of sustainability, and this Gold Medal distinction reflects CAP's exemplary performance and long-standing commitment across all areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR) including sustainability and ethical business practices'.
WEConnect
International
As a majority women-owned business, CAP is proud to be part of the formal WEConnect International women's business enterprise (WBE) accreditation programme, an association that provides support to women owned businesses and helps global corporate companies to connect with formally assessed and certified women owned suppliers.
When achieving Women Owned certified status, CAP committed to 'paying it forward' to their supply community and brand partners with the launch of their brand partner management programme 'At CAP, You're Welcome'.
The 'At CAP, You're Welcome' programme was launched to ensure that all partners, no matter how big or small, whether they are global or local, diverse, entrepreneurial or minority owned are assured the same 'equal opportunity' to become a CAP brand partner/supplier and to receive requests to service extended stay demand from our valued clients.
Jo Layton, CAP CEO says ‘We recognise the best and most sustainable supply chains are achieved through the welcoming of great and diverse brand partners. CAPTURE, our digital eco-system recognises and records the availability of diverse partners and can provide spend data to support our client’s diversity initiatives. This ensures that we are measured on our actions in this equity arena, not just our words’.
Creating industry collaboration – not competition
"We will educate and innovate with industry associations and our competitors"
CAP CEO Jo Layton has been co-chair of the by CHPA's Sustainability Workgroup since February 2022, and has been a passionate driving force behind the creation of a single global emissions calculator for the corporate housing sector.
- We will collaborate with sustainability standards and targets for our accommodation partners
- We will continue to strive to show emissions calculated by apartment type to offer energy efficient accommodation options and reduction targets on a consistent global level
- We will partner with green innovators and eco-conscious accommodation partners
- We have a client first mentality - ensuring the safety, comfort and well-being of our clients
- We will provide sustainability tips for business travellers
In February 2025, the CHPA Furnished Accommodation Carbon Calculation Tool (FACCT) was launched to the corporate housing sector at the CHPA annual conference in San Diego, and CAP Worldwide is proud to have been a Platinum Sponsor and founding member in the creation of this ground-breaking tool.
FACCT adapts the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI) - which has been adopted by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) to measure carbon emissions from hotels - to the context of the corporate housing and serviced accommodation industry and provides a common global approach for the corporate housing industry to calculate and better understand the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of accommodations in global mobility and business travel.

CAPCommunity Day 2024 - Magna Carta
Our CAPCommunity Day in 2024 was held at the Englefield Green Community Centre. The Village Centre is a community charity in the heart of Englefield Green, offering many activities and charitable services including baby basics, cooking classes and the community fridge and kitchen.
Working with midwives, health visitors and other professional groups to provide support directly where it is most needed, Baby Basics volunteers collect, sort and package a 'Moses Basket' of clothing, toiletries and essential baby equipment as an attractive gift to new mothers.
Community Fridges are social sites of food education and sharing
They are housed in publicly accessible places - making fresh food that would otherwise be wasted freely available to the community. Surplus perishable food is collected by our volunteers from local businesses such as Waitrose, Tesco, Co-op, The Felix Project and Surplus to Supper. Community Fridges exist to reduce food waste and foster a spirit of sharing and mutual support within a community.
Members of the CAPCrew from our global offices worked at the Community Centre all day and assisted with a variety of tasks including cooking with the community chef, painting and decorating, weeding and tidying the outside of the building, creating baby basics moses baskets and also helping in the community café - an enjoyable and insightful day, and we were delighted to support this great community cause.
CAPCommunity Day 2025 - The Poppy Factory
Thank you to Dan Hodges and the entire team at The Poppy Factory for welcoming us and educating the CAPCrew on the enduring power of this iconic symbol of remembrance, respect, and sacrifice.
Our teams came together from around the world to celebrate and support the charity and to learn about the inspiring 100-year legacy of The Poppy Factory and the life-changing work it continues to do for the armed forces community.
We were honoured to take part in wreath-making activities, with some of the wreaths destined for use by the Royal Family and Members of Parliament on Remembrance Day. Through guided tours and hands-on sessions, we gained a deeper understanding of the charity's history and its ongoing mission to support ex-service men and women, and their families.

As well as our CAPCommunity Days, which we undertake during our annual CAPFest conferences, we offer all of our CAPCrew team globally an individual Charity Day off to support a charity of their choice.
Charities our teams have supported individually during 2025 include:
Andrew, COO - RFU Injured Players Foundation
Raised over £2200.00 to support injured players
Supported England Rugby's official charity by playing for Chiswick RFC in a Vets Rugby Tournament at Allianz Stadium on Saturday 24th May.
The RFU Injured Players Foundation provides support to players who sustain a catastrophic spinal cord or traumatic brain injury playing the game and help prevent future injuries through research and education.
Simon, Account Director - Ben Nevis Challenge
The fundraising for Callum has already raised £197.6k, with a target of £250k in total.
On Friday the 19th of September, I had the incredible experience of climbing Ben Nevis with seven friends, and together we reached the summit and completed the challenge in 5 hours and 23 minutes - I'm led to believe this a solid time for a group of guys in their mid-40s!
Laura, Director, Americas - Hilltop Neighborhood House
Supported a local community and charitable foundation - Hilltop Neighborhood House - which empowers the community by providing a place to learn, grow and belong. Hilltop House provides programs delivering childcare, kidreach and hunger relief to the local community.
living wage employer certified
CAP Worldwide is proud to have been certified as a Living Wage Employer by the Living Wage Foundation.
This is a voluntary commitment made by CAP demonstrating our commitment to fair pay, ensuring our CAPCrew are valued, and that CAP is a great place to work.
The Living Wage Foundation's real Living Wage remains the only UK wage rate independently calculated based on the cost of living, rising annually based on living costs. It is higher than the government's legal minimum. The real Living Wage gives employers the confidence they are paying a wage that meets everyday needs.
CAP is proud to be one of nearly 16,000 organisations in the UK that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage because we believe that everyone needs a decent standard of living to thrive. For more information about organisations who pay the Living Wage, please visit: Accredited Living Wage Employers

reducing carbon footprint - how we do it
"We will measure and offset our emissions and work towards net zero by 2030"
We will measure our emissions annually using the EcoVadis Carbon Estimator Tool, through a 3 stage process:
1. Questionnaire
Completion of a detailed questionnaire about our carbon management practices.
2. Expert Evaluation
EcoVadis experts evaluate the data we have submitted.
3. Carbon Scorebard
EcoVadis issues a carbon scorecard that provides a rating and detailed insights into our carbon management performance.
The assessment reviews our environmental policies and also our commitment to reducing emissions, and evaluates objectively the actions we have taken to address our carbon footprint, as well as the results delivered.
EcoVadis also assesses how we engage with our suppliers and brand partners to reduce emissions in our global supply chain.
