‘This milestone marks another step forward in our sustainability journey and ‘doing the right thing’ through the CAPEarth Programme. At CAP, we remain committed to transparent progress tracking and working closely with our CAPCrew, our Brand Partners and our stakeholders globally to deliver meaningful emissions reductions’ Jo Layton, CEO
CAP Worldwide is proud to have achieved a major sustainability milestone, with its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
This recognition reinforces our continued commitment to climate action and aligns our strategy with the latest climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement.
At CAP, we are committed to maintaining zero scope 1 and scope 2 emissions through 2035, while actively measuring and reducing scope 3 emissions from our 2023 baseline.
The SBTi is a globally recognised authority that supports organisations in setting science-based emissions targets. Its validation confirms that our goals are aligned with limiting global warming to well below 2°C, with efforts towards 1.5°C.
You can view our validation on the SBTi Dashboard here: View the SBTI Target Dashboard
“Validation of our targets by the SBTi is an important milestone for CAP. It reflects the progress we’ve made and provides a clear framework for further action. Our focus now is on delivery—embedding emissions reduction into decision-making across the business.” Clare Ace, ESG Director
