We are delighted to announce that CAP Worldwide has been accredited as a Living Wage Employer by the Living Wage Foundation.
This commitment means that every member of staff - not only directly employed staff but also any contractors - working for us in the UK will earn at least the real Living Wage. This is a voluntary commitment made by CAP demonstrating our commitment to fair pay, ensuring our CAPCrew are valued, and that CAP is a great place to work.
The Living Wage Foundation was established after community campaigners successfully fought for pay that meets the cost of living. This required a mechanism to recognise employers who wanted to join the movement. Still part of Citizens UK today, the Living Wage Foundation continues to work alongside community organisations.
The real Living Wage remains the only UK wage rate independently calculated based on the cost of living, rising annually based on living costs.
CAP is proud to be one of nearly 16,000 organisations in the UK that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage because we believe that everyone needs a decent standard of living to thrive.
